New Mexico 2015

In the summer of 2015, Pat and I went to New Mexico to visit friends.  They had rented a house outside Santa Fe.  We would spend 3-4 days with them.  We flew into Albuquerque and our friends picked us up at the airport.

Some of the Stations of the Cross sculptures in the garden by the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi.  These sculptures were crafted by Gib Singleton.  He is known for his sculptures influenced by the bible as well as western art.  Many of his sculptures reside in museums at Vatican museums in Rome.

Photos from the Loretto Chapel.  The staircase has an amazing history.  Look it up!!

And a sad goodbye to our friends.

We also visited Los Alamos, the site where the WWII atom bombs were developed that were dropped on Japan.  However, no photos were taken.
