Mobile and New Orleans
New Orleans - Swamp Tour - 9/27
This morning we slept in. We were slow getting going. About 10:00 AM, the maid knocked on the door. This got us moving and we were out and about shortly thereafter. We look for things to do today. We book a swamp/bayou tour and then after thinking it over make it a combo swamp/plantation house tour. We are to be picked up at 12:30. This gives us time to walk about Jackson Square, browse through a couple of antique shops, and have lunch.
We get picked up at 12:40 and it off to the swamp.
A couple of the alligator photos below are pretty good (if I do say so myself!!!).
The swamp. One of these swamp photos has an alligator in it. Can you find it??
The alligators.
Pat feeding an alligator a piece of raw chicken fastened to the pole with a cloths pin.
A family of raccoons by a "typical" cajun residence. These raccoons were looking for food.
A second family of raccoons.
